Pastor
Robert Fulton: The Rev. Rob Fulton is pastor of the First United Presbyterian Church of
Bellefontaine, OH where he served since 1986, having previously served in Carlisle, OH for 7 years. A native of Virginia,
he is a graduate of Wake Forest University (B.A. 1973) and the Union Theological Seminary (Doctorate in Ministry in 1979).
He is married to Janet and the father of 4 children. He is a past Moderator of the Miami Presbytery (West Central OH).
Pastoral Associate for Visitation and Congregational Care
Gene Marine, Pastoral Associate for
Visitation and Congregational Care. For many years, Gene was Editor of the Bellefontaine Examiner, and also a committed layman,
a gifted teacher, a wise counselor and a good friend to many within the Bellefontaine community. Following his retirement
from the newspaper, he became a "lay-pastor" within the Disciples of Christ denomination and served for a number
of years as Associate Pastor at First Christian Church.
Coordinator Of Children's Ministry
Sue Crawfis Sue
is no stranger to this church family. She has served in almost ever capacity possible. Sue is a welcomed addition
to our staff and looks forward to all the great things to come.
Coordinator Of Youth Ministry
Gregg Johnson: This
is Gregg’s first position in a Church as he is a recent graduate of Muskingum College (BA, Religion; BA, Christian Education
2003). Gregg has also worked for Kirkmont Center, a Presbyterian Church Camp. He has
the wonderful opportunity to work with a thriving youth program here at the church.
Secretary
Julie McCarthy: Julie has been here at the church since 1999.
As the secretary she is the front line of the ministry of our church. In addition to working with
our congregation Julie also is a wife and a mother of two.
Custodian
Ralph Morrison: Ralph has been a member
of the staff here at the church since 2002. Not only does he do everything to clean, fix, or make the church
look nice, he also is a father and a grandfather, which takes up most of his free time.
Pastoral Partners
Marty Marine
Each Pastoral Partner
ministers to church family members in whatever way is appropriate at the time. It may be a personal call, a telephone call,
a card or letter. Each family is prayed for regularly, and pastoral partners refer any crisis or serious concern to the pastoral
team, and be there when each family needs a friendly ear to listen.
Chancel Choir Director
Allen Hadley: Allen has been directing our choir since 1989.
Allen has music degrees from Youngstown State and also serves as the choral music director at Bellefontaine High School.
In addition to the choral music every Sunday, Allen also puts together Contata’s at Christmas
and Easter time.
Organist
Thomas Boone: Since
1973 Thomas Boone has served as our Organist. But Organist does not give the man justice. His
mastery of musical ability adds to the wonderful of our atmosphere here at First UPC.
Handbell Choir Director
Dameon Jones: Just added to the staff this year, Dameon Jones has the
opportunity to not only serve the Adult Bell Choir but also directs the middle school Hand Chime choir. In
addition to serving the church, Dameon also serves the local community as a substitute teacher, and the kids just love him!
